Welcome to SusanGross.com, the web home of Susan Gross: illustrator, designer and teacher. Susan’s work ranges from whimsical watercolors to rich, collage monotypes. This award-winning artist has illustrated many books, products and journals, such as “Heal Your Body A-Z,” by Louise Hay. Susan also created 50 monotype collages for an inspirational card deck with Deepak Chopra for Hay House Publishing, and most recently designed and illustrated “An Adventurer’s Guide...” for Mike Dooley at Tut.com. From Joe Boxer pajamas to Beringer wine labels to cookbooks and Nordstrom products, Susan has created distinctive and sophisticated design and illustration solutions for a variety of clients. Susan enjoys working in many different types of media including collage, printmaking, mixed media, textiles and assemblage. Most recently she has been experimenting with paste paper, jewelry and monotype-collage books. In addition she loves creating handmade one-of-a-kind objects and especially enjoys facilitating others in their creative growth. With a BFA from Art Center College of Design, she has served as adjunct professor at California College of the Arts in San Francisco and is currently teaching at both Mendocino College in Ukiah and the Mendocino Art Center.
